THREE’S A CHARM! OUR NEWEST TRIO OF SOUPS!
We, at Soupure, won’t introduce a new flavor of soup until it has passed our very rigorous health and taste tests. That is why we have not added a new soup since opening our doors in 2014. But, that has changed because we are proud to say that not 1, not 2, but 3 soups have passed our standards and have been added to our line up. We love them so much, we want to share one of the recipes with all of you! Enjoy!
PREVENT: SPLIT PEA CHLOROPHYLL (click to order)
If you like traditional pea soup, you’ll love our yummy vegan, hambone-free version! This fresh-as-spring soups is rich in phytonutrients, and research shows that green peas have anti-cancer properties, especially when consumed regularly. Peas have both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, help regulate blood sugar, and are very high in fiber, omega 3 and omega 6 fats and vitamin E. Add the health benefits of liquid chlorophyll – from encouraging healing, weight loss to cancer prevention – and you’ll see, this ain’t your momma’s pea sea soup!
ROBUST: KALE MINESTRONE (click to order)
Heal from the inside with this hearty soup made with cleansing kale, carrots, squash, tomatoes and other super foods. Not only does kale provide cardiovascular, digestive bone, teeth, immune system and organ support, it is also anti-inflammatory and detoxifying and it provides glucosinolates, which have been shown to help fight certain cancers. Add the anti-cancer and anti-aging properties of falcarinol found in carrots and you can be rest assured that good health never tasted so good.

Carrots get a bad rap because of their sugar content, but did you know they produce falcarinol, which has been studied for its anti-cancer properties? They also contain high levels of beta-carotene, known to slow down aging and make your skin glow. And, they are rich in vitamin A, which promotes healthy vision. Wait! We are not done. We have also added heart loving, cancer fighting, immunity boosting turmeric to our healthy concoction. Did we also mention that this soup is incredibly delicious and creamy, despite its lack of cream! You are welcome heart, stomach, immune system, skin and eyes!
Want a little DIY soup project at home? Try your own blend of PROTECT by following this recipe below:
Yield: 6 servings Prep Time: 15 min Cook Time: 1 hour and ten minutes
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 large yellow, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
10 large organic carrots, cut into ¼-inch pieces
6 cups low-sodium chicken stock or homemade veggie broth
1 inch fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
1 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
Salt to taste
Heat a large sauté pan or stock pot over medium heat and add the olive oil. When the oil dances, add the onions, reduce the heat to low, and cover. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the onions are lightly colored and very tender. Stir in the pepper.
Add the carrots and chicken stock to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and add the ginger. Cover and cook for 25 to 30 minutes so the carrots are very tender.
Transfer the mixture to a blender, add the juice, and blend until completely smooth, 1 to 2 minutes.
Return the soup to the pot if you’d like to warm it slightly before eating it right away, or pour it right into a glass container and store in the refrigerator for 3 days.
